Kathleen is quite happy when she’s Home, but happier when she’s Away.
That’s why she loves leaving her Melbourne home, where she lives independently, to go on holidays with support from Melba.
“I love Queensland. I’ve been to Rockhampton, Cairns, and the Whitsundays. I love palm trees and I’ve been to Darwin as well. I love Tasmania too, and I’ve been to Hobart.”
“When I’m on holidays I like to go for long drives, go to theme parks, outings, museums, so a few things like that,” Kathleen said.
Kathleen did have a March holiday to the Gold Coast planned with Melba, but it had to be cancelled because Melba thought it might be too risky for people, in terms of potential border closures because of COVID-19.
However, so Kathleen could go on a holiday, Melba then helped her organise for private support instead, and she happily jetted off to Queensland again.
Next? Kathleen is planning a long-awaited trip to the set of Home and Away which is near Sydney.
“You get to meet one celebrity, and go to the studios, and Palm Beach. For a couple of years, I’ve wanted to do that one, but COVID-19 delayed some things.”
Then after that? Queensland. Of course. “I really want to go to Australia Zoo.”
