A MESSAGE FROM MELBA’S CEO: BOARD CHANGES

Updated: Sep 4, 2023

Hi everyone

I’m writing to let you know that our current President, Ben Renshaw, is resigning after six fabulous years of service to Melba.

Ben has been on the Board at Melba since September 2015 and was elected President in November 2017. Ben has worked tirelessly with our other Board members during the past six years, overseeing a huge growth in our organisation. I know we’d all like to thank Ben for his terrific contribution to Melba.

During Ben’s time as President we merged with Karden Disability Support Foundation in 2018 and began supporting people in the Ballarat area. After successfully tendering to receive services transferring from DHHS, Melba has also been able to expand across Victoria, delivering our quality services to even more people.

I thank Ben for his tireless leadership, support and dedication to Melba. Ben is planning to spend more time with his family, as well as to focus on other professional and personal priorities. I wish him all the best with his future endeavours.

Ben will be finishing as President at the end of June. Our current Vice President, Dr Matt Brett, will take the reigns as Acting President while the Board finalises the process to appoint a new President.

Kind Regards

Hayley Dean

Chief Executive Officer
