We are in the final stages of welcoming people formerly supported by Annecto into the Melba community. We are working hard to make sure that we have all the right processes in place to provide the quality support that Melba is known for.
We know this has been a tough time for many people and we are confident that as people settle into the Melba community, they will feel a sense of belonging and security. We are looking forward to opening up a world of opportunities for even more people to live fabulous lives.
Watch Arthur Creative’s short films
The Focus on Ability (FOA) Short Film Festival is here and the film crews from Melba’s Arthur Creative have risen to the challenge, entering three fabulous films!
The FOA has been championing the talent of people with disability for 17 years. The films celebrate inclusivity, diversity and showcase the talent and creativity of these filmmakers.
This year’s prize is life-changing for aspiring filmmakers. The film with the most online votes wins $5,000 and a 2026 Create Your Own Content Course with American Arts, Film and Television Academy! While voting for the short film festival is now closed, you can still watch Arthur Creative’s three fabulous films!
Taco Rap – A tune about tacos that’s sure to get stuck in your head and sway your dinner plans for the week.
Death Sentence – What starts as a night of casual poker takes a sinister turn. Play your cards close…
Fight Pub – A hitman’s day at the pub is interrupted by some thugs. How this will end is anyone’s guess.
Head to our socials to see the promo videos for each short film. Let’s shine a light on Melba’s marvellous movie makers!

Live life your way with tailored support
Living a fulfilling life looks different for everyone. From where you live and where you work to the people you see and what you eat – these are just some of the choices we make each day to live a life that’s fabulous to us.
Individualised Support Arrangements (ISA) with Melba is one-to-one support that’s tailored to you so you can live life your way, this could be out and about in your community, or support with personal care or household tasks in your own home.
What it comes down to is having access to supports you choose to live independently and do the things that bring you joy.
With Melba, you lead, we support. This means you are the one that leads the planning of your support, ensuring every decision is in line with what you want, your interests and your lifestyle.
Maybe it’s support at home for daily living activities such as personal care or getting the shopping done. Maybe you want support attending events like concerts and markets or joining a local community group? Or maybe you want a bit of everything?
Find out more about ISA.

Ash (above left) and Ian (above right) have just returned from a trip to Ballarat, where they explored sites such as the Tramway Museum, Sovereign Hill and Winter Wonder Lights. Ian made Melba history by being the first person supported from the Gippsland region to book a trip with our Leisure and Recreation Team.

Across town, Jared (left) and Tanino (right) headed to The Piano Bar to catch Elvis in action. Tanino impressed everyone within earshot with his singing and knowledge of the songs!
Meanwhile in Horsham, members of the Melba community came together for an afternoon of laughter, connection and some friendly competition. Leanne (above) was hoping orange was her lucky colour.
