As a registered NDIS provider, we support reforms that strengthen the long-term sustainability of the Scheme while ensuring people with disability continue to have access to the supports they need to live independent and meaningful lives.
The proposed changes are significant and will have far-reaching implications for participants, families and providers. It is important that government, people with disability, families and the disability sector continue to work together to ensure reforms are practical, evidence-based and achieve their intended outcomes.
Where further consultation is required, the time should be taken to get these reforms right. A collaborative and considered approach will help build confidence in the changes and support a strong, sustainable and participant-focused NDIS.
