October 2025

International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), Wednesday 3 December, is a global moment to recognise rights, achievements and contributions—and to turn awareness into everyday inclusion. This year’s theme, “Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” invites all Australians to choose inclusion every day.

Right now, 1 in 5 Australians has disability – yet people with disability appear in less than 3% of mainstream advertising. We’re aiming to change that. This year we’re running a campaign to get people with disability seen in mainstream media – where representation is still far too low.

We are asking for:

  • donated media space,
  • access to other organisation’s internal or external channels
  • donations and funding to secure additional reach.

Visit our website to read more, learn how you can champion inclusion and help us get disability front and centre this December.

How can you help

ARROW targets accessibility

Accessibility remains a daily issue for people with disability and too often it feels like there’s little we can do to remove these barriers – particularly those that are physical. Not anymore. Our ARROW East group has found an app that addresses the problem.
