Project targets workplace inclusivity

September 23, 2024

The IncludeAbility Project is an initiative aimed at improving employment opportunities for people with disability by creating more inclusive workplaces across Australia.

Launched by the Australian Human Rights Commission, the project addresses the barriers faced by people with disability in securing and maintaining meaningful employment.

The core of IncludeAbility is its partnership with employers, encouraging them to adopt best practices that foster inclusivity. Through training, resources and community engagement, the project supports businesses in creating work environments that respect diversity and remove obstacles that may prevent people with disabilities from participating fully in the workforce.

Employers who join the initiative can access a wealth of resources to improve their recruitment processes, workplace adjustments, and organisational culture. This contributes to a broader social movement towards equity in the workplace, highlighting the talents and contributions of people with disability while aiming to close the employment gap in this community.
