There are a number of changes and consultations underway in the disability sector, and we know people in the Melba community may have questions about what this could mean. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

One of the current consultations is about Supported Independent Living, often called SIL. The Australian Government is asking for feedback on possible changes to how some SIL supports could be planned, funded, delivered and monitored in the future. The consultation period closes this Sunday. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Families, supporters and people who use SIL may wish to share their views. SIL relates to where people live, the support they receive at home, and how services help people feel safe, respected and in control of their lives. We have put together a short article to explain what is being discussed, why it matters and how you can share your views before the consultation closes. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
