While Melba remains concerned about aspects of the reforms, advocacy by people with disability, families, providers and peak bodies has helped secure some important amendments.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:210,&quot;335559739&quot;:210,&quot;335559740&quot;:300}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b40e742 link elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b40e742\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Plan reassessment rules are changing\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">From 27 August 2026, participants, plan nominees and child representatives will still be able to request an unscheduled plan reassessment where there is a significant and ongoing change to functional capacity, support needs, or living, education, work or informal support arrangements. The NDIA will have 90 days to decide whether to reassess a plan after receiving a request.
