{"id":2497,"date":"2024-12-20T09:27:51","date_gmt":"2024-12-19T22:27:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.melbasupport.com.au\/?p=2497"},"modified":"2025-03-21T11:42:28","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T00:42:28","slug":"melba-ceo-hayley-dean-elected-vice-president-of-national-disability-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.melbasupport.com.au\/melba-ceo-hayley-dean-elected-vice-president-of-national-disability-services\/","title":{"rendered":"Melba CEO Hayley Dean elected Vice-President of National Disability Services"},"content":{"rendered":"    <div class=\"block--custom-layout block_21ac07774710c79fc2bb33c52e35466d custom-wysiwyg blog-wysiwyg\" >\r\n        \r\n        <p>Melba Support Services CEO Hayley Dean has been elected as Vice-President of National Disability Services (NDS), Australia\u2019s peak body for disability service organisations.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made during the NDS board meeting on 11 December, where Rohan Braddy, CEO of Gateways Support Services, was re-elected as President, a position he has held since December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Hayley, who also serves as Chair of the NDS Victoria Division, brings her extensive leadership experience and passion for empowering people with disability to this important national role.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s an incredible honour to be elected Vice-President of NDS,\u201d Hayley said. \u201cI\u2019m excited to contribute to the vital work of advocating for a more inclusive, sustainable disability sector through high quality service providers. Together, we can strengthen the supports that enable people with disability to live fulfilling lives of their choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hayley joins a board that recently welcomed two new directors: Justine Colyer, CEO of Rise, and Phil Hayes-Brown, CEO of Wallara Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on her vision for the role, Hayley added: \u201cI look forward to working closely with Rohan and the entire NDS Board to address the challenges facing our sector and champion the incredible contributions of disability service providers across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NDS Board represents a diverse group of Disability Support Provider leaders dedicated to advancing the rights and opportunities of people with disability.
