Hi everyone,
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Russell Harrison, Melba’s new Chief Outcomes Officer. I am thrilled to be offered the opportunity to be part of this exciting organisation. Prior to starting here I oversaw the operations of 75 group homes with Home@Scope. These homes, similar to many at Melba, were also part of the transfer of government services. I was also a General Manager at Wallara and part of their successful transition to the NDIS. I am confident my background will allow me to play my part to ensure Melba continues to deliver the quality and safe services you want and expect.
As the COO, my role is to support Melba’s GMOs (General Manager Operations) and their teams in the regions we work in. By doing this, it will ensure they have the resources to enable them to do their jobs well, which means the people Melba has the privilege of supporting will have the best lives possible. Lives where their human rights are respected. Lives which includes many opportunities to do what they enjoy and value.
We have been through extraordinary change with the introduction of the NDIS, Melba’s growth, and currently the ongoing response to COVID-19. My role, along with others, is to make sure we proactively work through any challenges that arise, whilst always keeping the best outcomes for people we are here to serve at the forefront.
