Update on Melba vaccine hubs for people supported and staff


Hi everyone,

Great news – our Melba vaccine hubs are now set up in all four regions.


All people we support and our staff will be able to have Pfizer vaccinations.


The vaccinations are being provided by Aspen Medical and Ballarat Health Service.

How will bookings work?

  • Melba will provide people supported with an appointment.

  • House supervisors and outcome leads will notify supported people and organise specific house bookings.

  • We are contacting all people we support in our centre-based activities and ISA (individualised supports) services.

  • People will be provided consent forms and should also bring their Medicare card.

  • We have emailed booking information to staff.

  • Any staff that weren’t able to book in the Southern Region are encouraged to go to the Eastern Region hub.

  • Everyone who books will get a vaccination.


How will second vaccine appointments be set up?


At the first vaccine appointment, everyone will be booked in for their second vaccination in 3 weeks’ time. This will be at the same location.
