Arthur Creative Lilydale gets $10,000 boost
November 3, 2025
Melba’s newly established Arthur Creative Lilydale arts program has received a significant boost, thanks to a $10,000 grant from Yarra Ranges Council.
The money will fund a 20-week program in conjunction with Creative Art Therapy Australia, beginning late January.
Project coordinator Dave Glazebrook said the grant was recognition of the quality of Melba’s arts programs, which began with Arthur Creative in Ballarat and is now spreading into metropolitan Melbourne.
“Dancing, singing, performing, knitting, movie making, painting – nothing is off the table,” he said. “This is all about artists working with artists to find, explore and amplify their inner creativity and developing it – not telling people what that inner artist should look like.”
The weekly program will celebrate self-expression, inclusion and creativity in all its forms – a space where everyone can explore, create and shine in their own unique way.
