Mr Steven Groves  - President

Joining the Board in 2008,  Steven became President in 2010, having previously fulfilled the roles of Vice President and Assistant Treasurer. Steven has over 20 years' experience in accounting and taxation and is a CPA and a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia. Steven is a Director of Astute Business Pty Ltd.

  

Mr Graham Leaver  - 

Member

Graham has been a member of the Board since 2006. Graham is the father of David who is supported through Melba’s Community Living Support Service and Individual Support Arrangements. Graham has been involved with Melba since 1988, and has played an integral role within Melba on many  committees and working parties during this time.

  

Ms Kristy Burrows  -  Vice President

Kristy is an Associate Director of Beaumont Lawyers and joined the Board in 2008. Kristy is in her fifth year of practice as a Solicitor.  Kristy also worked in the real estate industry for 6 years prior to becoming a Solicitor. 

Ms Lorraine Elliott AM  - 

Member

Lorraine joined the Board in 2008. Lorraine has an extensive history of community involvement including being State Member for Mooroolbark from 1992 – 2002, during which time she was Parliamentary Secretary for the Arts. Unfortunately due to work and travel committements Lorraine has resigned from the Board effective 28 July 2011

Mr David Johnston  -  Treasurer

David has been on the Melba Board for 10 years, most of them as Treasurer. David has an impressive employment history in banking and private Industry, for over 30 years holding senior management positions at Westpac and Sigma Pharmaceuticals.

  

Mr Colin Rose -   Member

Colin rejoined the Board in December, 2010, having previously been a member for 9 years, finishing in 2007. Colin is a panel member of DHS Eastern Region's review panel for emergency accommodation and he is a long standing member of the Lions Club.

  

Ms Jan Rebecchi  -  Secretary

Jan has been on the Board since 2000 and has held the role of Secretary for one year. Jan is the mother of Miles who attends Ormeau Rd Community Connections. Jan is a strong advocate for her son and others who attend the day service and has contributed in a range of consultation groups over her 11 year involvement with Melba.

  

Ms Penny Kendall

Acting CEO – Ex Officio Member

Penny is currently acting following the resignation of Jim Burns who resigned for personal reasons.

Penny has been at Melba for over 15 years and has previously acted in the CEO role when the CEO has been on leave.

Penny is usually the CLSS Manager and has a wealth of knowledge in the Disability Sector.

Dr John Annison PhD

John Annison joined the Board of Management in July 2010. John has a long and distinguished career in the disability field working in both the government and non-government sectors. For many years, John was the Principal Lecturer in Deakin University’s Disability Studies area of Health Sciences in the School of Health and Social Development. John was previously President of Council of Intellectual Disability Agencies (now merged with National Disability Services (Victoria)) and a former President of Inclusion Melbourne.  

Mr Glenn Foard

New CEO Commencing 16/1/12

Glenn has extensive experience in the sector. The past 11 years with DHS including as Regional Manager. Executive Management in both Commonwealth and State Governments and in earlier years worked in research and academic institutions. Has served on several Boards including DPV. Glenn has written over 20 books, reports, articles and conference papers. Melba is looking forward to working with Glenn and that he can bring his impressive experience and expertise to the role.
